Ocean are one of Bristol’s leading estate agents and have been selling & letting homes for over 35 years. Long established as experts of Bristol and the surrounding areas, they know every street, road, drive, lane, terrace, avenue and alley-way in the wonderful city, so it’s important to them that their boards reflect their brand well out on the streets. This is why they chose Kremer Signs, the leading supplier of signage to the property sector for their rebrand.
With Bristol paving the way as one of the most sustainable cities on the planet, and on top of the UK’s list as the greenest city nationwide, Ocean were keen to source their boards sustainably in order to do their part in reducing their carbon footprint. This passion towards environmental responsibility is shared and is as important to Kremer Signs, so we were keen to gain the supply of boards for Ocean to assist them on their endeavour for a green board solution. By joining ‘The Green Team’ Ocean have had the new boards produced on 100% recycled correx which is exclusive to Kremer Signs. The correx sheets themselves are made from recycled plastics, and can then be recycled again when the board reaches ‘end of life’. This paired with our posts that are made from timber which has been sourced from FSC approved renewable forests, completes the goal set out by Ocean to achieve a totally green solution.
As a customer of Kremer Signs, Ocean will also benefit from our free scrappage scheme which will see the collection of any ‘end of life’ boards when we deliver new stock to branch. The old stock is then returned to our HQ in Newbury which will be collected monthly for recycling, meaning that the boards will avoid landfill! This final process of the boards cycle establishes Oceans mission to reduce their carbon footprint, and stay true to values that are important to not only Bristol, but to our planet.
The new look boards also benefit from our greyback correx material (see image above of the parting correx) which is also exclusive and total unique to Kremer Signs. With the vast majority of the board design being white, the greyback sheet achieves a total block out of sunlight passing through the two sheets of correx that make up the T Board. This ‘sunblock’ eliminates the shadow through the centre of the board from the post, or any show through of text from the reverse side, which historically has been a problem for Ocean and many other agents with similar designs when using cheaper correx alternatives. This really does enhance the look of quality, and ensures that the boards are user friendly and easy to read.
Being a large multi-office agent, we can offer total brand consistency across the range for any signage requirements that Ocean may have from boards to commercial signs, office fascias to hoarding. This is very important for any business, but especially for an agency when rolling out a new design, to ensure the brands new look is wide spread and consistent.
We would like to thank Ocean for their business and look forward to a long and exciting green partnership together.
