Many businesses are expected to enforce these social distancing mandates in their facilities. It can be a challenge in some commercial facilities where people are generally close together, such as supermarkets and retail stores. That is why social distancing floor graphics serve a valuable purpose for these types of businesses.
Social distancing floor graphics can do two things to help maintain social distancing in your facility. First, it can remind people to keep a distance of 6”6” or 2 metres away from each other. You could spread out the floor graphics throughout your facility to ensure compliance of these mandates.
Second, social distancing floor markings can help create one-way traffic systems inside of your facility. For instance, if you own a retail store with aisles of merchandise, you can put floor markings at the beginning of each aisle to tell people to travel in one particular direction only. That way, you ensure that people are not facing each other in the aisles as they shop. There is less chance of them spreading the virus if they’re not facing each other.
The one-way floor markings look like arrows on the floor. They are simple enough for people to understand without getting confused by their meaning. You also have floor markings that tell people to “Please Wait Here,” which means they’re not supposed to move from that spot until they’re told to do so. This floor sign might be useful when people are lined up and waiting to get served by a cashier, banker or some other serviceperson.
